Beautiful hotel with a very friendly staff. The waiters at the restaurant were so lovely each and every time. Excellent location. Room service was done everyday. It was a great balance of beautiful hotel and still have a nature/ eco friendly feel to it. Since I was there for over a week, breakfast was included which was a HUGE help and very large portion.

IKAL is a gorgeous, eco-conscious accommodation fully immersed in nature. I am so happy we chose here and not a typical, high-rise hotel. The beach was stunning, the staff extremely helpful (shout out to Sofia who made our stay so smooth!!) and the rooms/bathrooms really unique. The quality of the food and drinks at the restaurant was really great. As the paths are all sand, the housekeeping did a great job of keeping the room clean and the products in the shower smelled amazing. It really is a piece of paradise and I want to return someday! We were also there for the Day of the Dead celebrations which was really special.

Before this trip, whenever I was often dreaming of a Mexican Caribbean getaway, however, I couldn't even picture the magical world of Ikal Tulum Hotel. Where to start from? The stylishl Robinson Crusoe's huts, the easygoing vibes throughout, the delicious food offered at the restaurant, the genuinely kind and professional front desk team and the manager, the Yoga and healing session offerings, or the pristine beach with a view to the Tulum archeological site's temples? We're hooked for good! Planning already our return.

The treehouse concept was very cool. I was a bit apprehensive after reading google reviews and reviews here, but I suppose people will always find something to complain about. This is a very luxurious accommodation- but still rustic. Know what you are selecting! - you are in a simply constructed treehouse. It is not airtight. Expect a few bugs to get in. Expect the AC not to work particularly well - the open bathroom was plenty private. If you are super conservative, maybe not for you. - housekeeping was super prompt and kept our treehouse sand-free. - I found the staff to be very helpful. I did not encounter anyone named Nicki though. - wifi worked just fine. Able to send pictures via WhatsApp and stream. Certainly exceeded expectations - it is more remote than south beach, but I quite liked that. No loud bars nearby. Walk along the beach and you’ll find restaurants. You are not stuck here going to this restaurant… and by the way the food is fine and not more expensive than average. - the private pool was super clean. I’m still not sure how it remained free of any palm leaves etc! We had a nice little “birds nest” to perch among the trees. A bit rickety getting up. Would not recommend after a few cervezas. - there is a safe in the room and a lock. No it’s not the MOST secure. Again, you are in a tree house. Set expectations accordingly.

This place is a gem. The moment you arrive you feel peace and serenity amidst this jungle glamping with views overlooking the ocean. The tents are very clean and we loved the outdoor bathrooms. The reception staff will do anything to make you feel home, i cannot praise them enough. We had a wonderful time and felt sad to leave.

The jungle like decoration and vibe is amazing. The room was nice and clean. The location is nice because it’s not on the main street and its super quiet. You are still just a few minutes away from the main street with all the restaurants and bars though.

Everything!!! The seclusion, privacy, greenery, the decor, location and amenities! Simple, relaxing, peaceful and casual!!! Exactly what my husband and I love!!! No rushing, waits, a lot of people, quiet. No loud, drunk and rowdy guests.
