We had an amazing time here, our group of 10 had examples of each type of accommodation, our villa for 3 with our own pool and full kitchen facilites and a hammock in the garden was stunning and the pool was a bonus as we did not see it on our booking. My daughter and her boyfriend were in one of the glamping rooms, really sweet and a better sea view than us, the shared bathroom facilities were well maintained and we enjoyed an evening in the picnic area. Other friends had rooms with a plunge pool and another had a room in a shared area which if we had known we would have all booked and had a little mini village and sit around the fire pit at night. We enjoyed the yoga and a raccoon visiting us while having dinner at the bar and the staff were super helpful. It is a national park and guards will check over your car for alcohol and single use plastic at the entrance gate so be careful.

IKAL is a gorgeous, eco-conscious accommodation fully immersed in nature. I am so happy we chose here and not a typical, high-rise hotel. The beach was stunning, the staff extremely helpful (shout out to Sofia who made our stay so smooth!!) and the rooms/bathrooms really unique. The quality of the food and drinks at the restaurant was really great. As the paths are all sand, the housekeeping did a great job of keeping the room clean and the products in the shower smelled amazing. It really is a piece of paradise and I want to return someday! We were also there for the Day of the Dead celebrations which was really special.

We had a bungalow for my daughter and a plunge pool suite for my partner and I. Each "room" is truly unique...with outdoor showers and sinks balanced by climate controlled sleeping spaces. Amazing! Fantastic for couples of all ages and families. Really mixed beach loving crowd. And finally, the live music, yoga classes, and massages really made this stay sparkle.

Food is ok, but.. if you need something special or extra, please call for Caro, she is a manager at restaurant, and she will make your dreams come true!! Beach is awesome.. what else do you need to be happy with your vocation? Forgot!! Activities: yoga- is very good, professional stuff, special ceremonial activities next to the fire.. just go!!!!

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed at! We rented the Mayan cabin with private pool, and it was stepping into a little paradise. It's full of trees, and little animals, and so incredible! Since it's in a national park, it's very quiet and natural all around, it was exactly what we wanted and more! You can just walk to the ruins, and along the beach. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be recommending this place to friends and family!
